  14. This is a hard subject..my daughter got out of an abusive relationship in January, and was given a minor brain injury that kept her ill enough to be in bed for 6 months, she missed a whole semester of college.

To those in an abusive relationship, there IS ALWAYS a way out, you just have to want it enough..and I give credit to those that HAVE left !

thanks for the bloggin fun :)

  16. My first serious boyfriend was verbally and mentally abusive. I'm sure it would have progressed to physical violence as well, but I was able to get away before it got that far. You don't see it while it is happening. For me, it started out simply with jealousy and just got worse from there. Even after I got away, he stalked me for months.

  19. I have but not for long I ended it as soon as it started, unfortunately, I've had to witness close friends & family members go through it for a long time. It's hard even if you don't know the person to see it happen or just to know it happens.

  20. My mom was verbally, emotionally, and physically abused by my now deceased stepfather. He beat on her, cheated on her, stole from her, called her the most horrible names, constantly put her down, threatened to kill her numerous times. She stayed with him for over ten years and then he started using a lot of drugs and acting really crazy so my mom kicked him out, got a PPO against him, and filed for divorce. He overdosed two weeks later and his funeral was October 1st. The only upside is that I have a beautiful little sister from him and she is my whole world and my partner in crime lol

  23. I haven't personally. But my mom and uncles have been touched by abuse by their parents (I don't have any contact with them so I can't call them my grandparents) Also my niece who was placed in a foster home is touched by abuse, first from her own home and then later also with her foster parents. So we offered her a place to stay at our own home.
